SOFFER COLLECTIVE GETS KUDOS FROM NEW YORK AGENT

November 29th 2008

New York, NY (November 24, 2008)

Powerful New York Agent Joe Lombardo of  Artists and Creatives has given a strong nod of approval to new client Patty Soffer and The Soffer Collec+ive. Soffer and Lombardo have been working together for months, and they both believe The Soffer Collec+ive is likely the first company (as opposed to a person) to be represented by an Agent. The quirky nature of this appeals to them; each loves creating great work in unusual ways.  Both need to keep things interesting.

Says Lombardo:

“To understand Patty Soffer and her amazing Collec+ive, you must throw away the traditional models of business under which small to medium sized agencies usually operate.

Patty is an innovator, and one who believes that the relationship formed via collaboration is critical to the project’s success and key to the bottom line.  That is not to say that working with her company is always the most inexpensive option in day-to-day dollars, but her team always over-delivers in ways that add value to the project. So in the end, you get much more than you pay for.

Soffer and her group of art-inspired creatives, (designers, art directors, new media developers) are all committed to ONE thing. . . .the IDEA. This is backed by an unwavering pursuit of methods that are all about creative solutions, to fit square pegs into round holes.

The Soffer Collec+ive’s luxury hotel clients benefit from their concepts, design and promotional execution of one-of-a-kind pieces that appeal on a level of beauty and impeccable sensibility. Patty and her Collec+ive artists are often times brought into a hotel project not to just elegantly design their branding, advertising and promotion, but to help craft the customer experience or bring an ARTFUL eye to interior spaces as well, combining good taste and good fun in the creative process.

Confident, outspoken, experienced and creating at a fabulous level of sophistication, Soffer is sought after by clients for her voice and vision. Armed with well-researched concepts and a total commitment to honest communication – a MUST with her -  she has even convinced clients to completely change their creative direction. The Collec+ive’s work causes clients’ business and income streams to increase, and she has cemented her position as an expert in her field.

Artists and Creatives is excited to rep Patty and The Soffer Collec+ive. Currently we are collaborating on editorial, an art exhibition, a new-media branding campaign, and are in discussions with boutique hotel designers in the US, Oman, Dubai and other Middle-Eastern venues about their advertising and branding initiatives for ‘09.

I cannot say enough, so I will say only this: I am changed forever by the collaboration with Patty Soffer and The Soffer Collect+ive. We look forward to seeing her company scale new heights in advertising, boutique branding and collateral design, and in the art community at large. Things just wouldn’t be the same without her on my team.”

You Need Competitors to Compete

November 19th 2008

We’re all Mad Men these days. And by “mad” I mean ANGRY.

While this economic mess touches us all every day, we become

especially bummed when favorite and formidable competitors close their doors.

Twice in the past week, we got the heartbreaking news that small agencies we

regularly go up against in pitches have called it a day. Both of these companies

were successful and employed people with whom we are friends. We had lovely

professional rivalries that drove us all to become better artists. One company

was in business for 23 years. They filed for bankruptcy.

Somebody has to think about the small business, which is the foundation

that holds up our country. GM and Chrysler produce crap and have produced crap

for decades. Yet we’re supposed to give them billions and bail them out for

being bloated and irrelevant.

What’s REALLY sad is a healthy small company having to fold over a

stupid $200k line of credit.

Morris Lapidus Would Be Proud

November 16th 2008

Jeff Soffer, Heidi Klum, my fave ex-husband Donny Soffer and Victoria Secret

model cut the ribbon to a bright Fontainebleau future.

BRAVO!!!!

Good job, Jeff and Donny, on the amazing, authentic interpretation and renovation of the legendary Fontainebleau Miami. Frank Sinatra can rest easy that his old Rat Pack haunt is in very good hands indeed.

Always a class act, the Soffers also hosted the party of the year on Friday, with 4000 of the nearest, dearest, famous and freakish attending. What recession? Making the white carpet walk from the worlds of money and movies were Gwyneth Paltrow, A-Rod, Puffy, Martha Stewart, Paris, Kim Kardashian, Jimmy Caan, Scott Caan, Steve Bing, George looking-very-tan-Hamilton, Kate Hudson, The Miami Heat, Bergdorf Goodman Fashion Director Linda Fargo, Theory’s Andrew Rosen, plus many more old friends I hadn’t seen in a decade.

I’m not sure whether Friday’s high point was Maria Carey on the grand stage or Robin Thicke in the lounge. Since I missed the Thicke performance (sadly) I guess award goes to Carey. She was amazing.

Fab night, kids, fab night. See you all there at The Collec+ive Christmas Party.

Onward and Upward

November 6th 2008

Diego is right. Time to move on. Election is over, and we need

to be patient and let Obama do what he needs to do to move us

forward.

In the meantime, I am headed to New York for great fashion, dining,

socializing and some overdue Collec+ive artistic inspiration. I’ll also

be doing my part to stimulate the economy.

Probably in the shoe department at Barney’s.
